Firstoff, many thanks to everyone who's been so patient while we had to postpone our first contest a bit.
Well - here it be! We're heading full-on into themes this time to give you some inspiration!
Contest #01: "Who's spine is it anyway?"
The Theme's Meaning: Fights with a comedic twist. You are not limited to fighting games, but will certainly not be discounted if you have a grand concept using such.
The Three Categories: As always with our contests, there will be three equivalent first prizes awarded in each of our three categories: Fanart, Fanmusic, and Fanfiction.
Prizes!!:First place in each of the three categories will receive a classic playstation game from our TBA list!! Second and Third place prizes pending.
Judges: Fanart: Aeralea, Fanmusic: Shakma!!, Fanfiction: Chiral (Pending her acceptance... ^^; )
Scoring System:
50pts - Creativity/Originality/Concept
30pts - Implementation of Idea
20pts - Adherence to Rules
Deadline: March 7th, 2006 (should be plenty of time!!)
THE CATCH!!: We MUST have 15 entrants (not entries) in each category by February 7th, 2006 or the contest will be OFF until the entrant quota is met. So invite your friends to join in!!
Rules:
1. All work MUST be yours and yours alone. If you do a collaboration you'll count as only one entrant and only one prize can be awarded for your group's entry.
2. Once you are certain you are entering, let us know and we'll add you to the entrant list.
3. Each entrant may only submit 2 entries per category (That's up to 6 entries for ye multi-talented persons, and yes you will still count as one entrant even if you submit to multiple categories.)
4. If you are under 13 years of age you must have parental consent to claim your prize as we'll need to know your mailing address.
5. If you win and are outside the United States you must pay a partial shipping fee depending on your location. (Sorry, but it gets too expensive otherwise!!)
6. GiGA Staff may NOT ENTER. (Just doesn't seem right - sorry guys : / )
7. NO hentai/porn, yaoi/yuri, illegal content or racist/hateful entries. DO NOT TRACE/STEAL/DIRECTLY COPY SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK OR OFFICIAL WORK! BE ORIGINAL, BE CREATIVE!! WE'LL PREFER IT THAT WAY! : )
To Enter:
Send your entries to Aeralea's Email Address via email before the deadline. YOU LOSE 5 POINTS OFF OF YOUR FINAL SCORE BY SENDING YOUR ENTRY AT THE LAST MINUTE!! (Last minute meaning within the last three days possible before the deadline. We're giving you PLENTY of time on this.) You MUST include the following information in your email:
1. Name
(Or nickname, use whatever you use in the GiGA forums - you MUST use the same name and email for all of your entries whether you send them all at the same time or not)
2. Email or Website Address
(Or state if you do not wish either to be posted by your entry)
(The following must be included for each entry)
3. Title of Entry
4. Entry's Category
5. The Entry itself via link or email attachment
